JEET is a learning and content management platform built to bridge educational gaps for rural students by providing free, accessible, and curriculum-aligned digital learning. The platform supports multiple state education boards, local languages, and mobile-first usage to ensure inclusivity at scale.
Problem
There was no unified system that could deliver curriculum-aligned educational content across different state boards while remaining cost-effective, mobile-friendly, and accessible only to government school students. Language barriers and inconsistent learning experiences further widened the gap.
Goal
Design and deliver a scalable LMS and CMS platform that provides free, multilingual, and mobile-optimised access to structured educational content for rural students and teachers across all state education boards.
Process
The platform was built as an integrated LMS and CMS system using a Moodle-based architecture. The LMS supports structured learning through videos and curriculum-aligned content, while the CMS enables efficient content management for administrators. The system was optimised for mobile devices and supports both Hindi and English to maximise accessibility.
Research & Insights
Discovery focused on understanding the challenges faced by rural students and government schools, including limited digital access, language diversity, and varying state curricula. Stakeholder discussions highlighted the need for a simple, mobile-first learning experience that could support all educational boards while remaining free and inclusive.
Wireframes & Iterations
Wireframes explored simplified navigation models that allowed students to select their state board, medium of education, and grade with minimal friction. Iterations prioritised clarity, large touch targets, and visual consistency to support young learners and first-time digital users.
Design refinements focused on reducing cognitive load, improving content discoverability, and ensuring the platform remained usable across low-bandwidth environments and varied device types.
Designing for rural education required addressing accessibility, affordability, and inclusivity simultaneously. Supporting multiple state boards, languages, and literacy levels introduced complexity in content structure and navigation.
Another key challenge was ensuring the platform remained intuitive for young students and teachers with limited exposure to digital learning tools, while still being scalable and maintainable for long-term growth.
Outcome Summary
JEET successfully delivered a scalable digital education platform that improves access to quality learning for rural students. By combining curriculum-aligned content, multilingual support, and mobile-first design, the platform enables inclusive education at a national scale.
